Hey Structure is a UK-wide structural engineering consultancy for homeowners, architects, designers, developers and contractors. We turn unfamiliar technical questions into a clear scope, practical engineering information and an explained next step.
WHY HEY STRUCTURE EXISTS
To make structural decisions easier to understand and act on.
People often contact a structural engineer at an unfamiliar or stressful point: a wall needs removing, cracks have appeared, an approval has stalled or a contractor needs an answer. They should not need to learn professional terminology before they can ask for help.
Our approach starts with the real situation. We establish what the client is trying to change or decide, explain the evidence needed and define the engineering output in language the wider project team can use.

Hey Structure focuses on the agreed structural question, coordinates with the available project information and explains when another role or decision sits outside that scope.

Brief review
We identify the decision the client needs to make, check the available information and define the proposed deliverables before engineering work begins.

Engineering review
The design or assessment is checked against the agreed brief, the information provided and the relevant structural questions.

Issue control
Issued calculations, drawings and reports identify their purpose, assumptions and status so the project team can understand what should be used.

Query support
Questions from the client, Building Control or contractor are reviewed against the appointment. If a request falls outside the scope, that is explained before additional work proceeds.
