TERMS
Website and service terms
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Plain-English terms for using this website, requesting a proposal and understanding when a professional appointment begins.
BEFORE YOU INSTRUCT US
The proposal is the project-specific agreement.
The website helps you understand services and request a proposal. A project appointment begins only after written terms are issued and accepted. Those documents should identify the deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, fee, VAT, likely programme and responsibilities. Nothing on this page reduces rights you have under law.
1. About Hey Structure
Hey Structure Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 16721884 and trades as Hey Structure. Registered office: Suite E, Ground Floor, Profile West, 950 Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9ES, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@heystructure.com.
2. What these terms cover
These terms govern use of the Hey Structure website and quote form. If you appoint Hey Structure for professional services, the issued proposal and written terms of appointment take precedence for the project-specific scope, fee, programme, responsibilities and liability. If these website terms conflict with an accepted appointment, the appointment applies to that project.
3. Website use
You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, misuse the quote form or use content in a way that infringes another person’s rights. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the website, the business or other users.
4. General information, not professional advice
Website explanations, frequently asked questions, guide prices, examples and enquiry responses are general information. They are not a structural assessment or project-specific professional advice. Properties, ground conditions and proposed works vary. Do not begin construction, remove supports or make a safety-critical decision solely from website content.
5. Quote enquiries and preliminary fees
Submitting the quote form or sending information does not oblige you to proceed and does not oblige Hey Structure to accept an appointment. From prices and preliminary fee guidance are based on limited information and are not binding. A fixed-fee proposal is issued only after the available scope, location, complexity and timing have been reviewed.
6. When a professional appointment begins
A professional appointment begins only when Hey Structure issues a written proposal and terms and the client accepts or instructs the appointment in the manner stated in those documents. Until then, Hey Structure has not agreed to undertake professional services or reserve a delivery date.
7. Agreed scope, assumptions and client information
The service depends on the information and access reasonably available. The client should provide accurate project details, relevant drawings and photographs, known constraints and prompt notice of changes. The agreed scope and material assumptions are recorded in the proposal or issued information. Concealed conditions, inaccurate information or a changed design may require the work to be reviewed and the scope or fee to be revised.
8. Site visits, access and safety
Where a visit is agreed, the client is responsible for arranging lawful and reasonably safe access, identifying known hazards and making the relevant areas available. Unless the appointment states otherwise, an inspection is visual and non-intrusive. Finishes are not removed and concealed construction cannot be confirmed. A visit may be limited or stopped if access is unsafe or materially different from what was described.
9. Deliverables, approvals and third-party use
Hey Structure provides only the calculations, drawings, report or support identified in the appointment. Planning authorities, Building Control and other third parties make their own decisions, so approval cannot be guaranteed. Project information is prepared for the named client, project and stated purpose. No other person should rely on it without written agreement.
10. Changes, additional services and programme
Delivery estimates depend on timely receipt of complete information, access and client decisions. Design changes, opening-up findings, urgent phasing, extra meetings or queries outside the agreed scope may affect the programme and fee. Where practicable, the additional requirement and fee will be explained before extra work proceeds.
11. Fees, VAT and payment
The written proposal states the fee, whether VAT applies and any payment stages. Website prices are guide prices only and exclude VAT where this is stated. Payment obligations, invoicing and any right to pause work are governed by the appointment and applicable law.
12. Cancellations and consumer rights
If you are acting as a consumer and enter into an appointment online or by telephone, statutory cancellation rights may apply, generally including a 14-day cancellation period. If you expressly ask for work to begin during that period, you may need to pay for work performed before cancellation, as explained in the appointment or cancellation notice. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including the right to services performed with reasonable care and skill.
13. Intellectual property
Website text, graphics, branding, logos and other original material belong to Hey Structure or its licensors. They may not be reproduced, modified or distributed without permission except where law allows. Ownership of, and any licence to use, project calculations, drawings or reports is governed by the relevant written appointment.
14. Website availability and liability
We take reasonable steps to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every page is free from error. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability relating to professional services is governed by the written appointment and applicable law.
15. Privacy and external services
Use of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy. The quote form sends information through Framer’s form services so Hey Structure can review and respond to the enquiry. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Hey Structure does not control their content, availability or privacy practices.
16. Complaints and contact
If you have a concern about the website, an enquiry or an appointed service, contact hello@heystructure.com and provide the project reference where available. We will review the relevant information and explain the proposed next step. This does not affect any statutory remedy or your right to seek independent advice.
17. Changes and governing law
We may update these website terms when the website, services or legal requirements change. The version published when you use the website applies to that use. These website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections and any right a consumer has to bring proceedings in another UK jurisdiction. A professional appointment may state the law and jurisdiction that applies to that appointment.
